Becoming a foster family in Utah means providing a safe, caring home to a child who cannot remain with their birth family. Among the requirements to complete before certification and placement: holding current CPR and first-aid training.
急救要求
In Utah, the licensing rule for foster homes (Utah Admin. Rule R501-12) requires the agency to verify completion of CPR/first-aid training before issuing an initial or renewal certification and before a foster child is placed in the home. The training must be comparable to recognized layperson CPR and first-aid courses and is obtained from a recognized provider.
This certification is overseen by the Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS) together with the Office of Licensing, and updated CPR/first-aid training is required when the previous certification is more than two years old. The certificate is one requirement in addition to the home study and evaluation of parenting suitability.
